Lots 1 to 4 are authentic mail from an incarcerated islander to friends/family on Pitcairn. Each bears a 10c stamp (flower or Bounty definitive) to pay the internal Pitcairn rate. Conditions vary, as these are commercial envelopes. They do not have return addresses.

Lot 3. 11 DEC 2007 cancel (date not quite clear) with 10c Bounty definitive. Letter has been unevenly cut at bottom from a larger envelope (due to envelope shortage for prisoners). EST $30-$50 Sold $26
